Whats On At The Water Rat
A visit to the Water Rat is always a highlight in itself – but we aim to ‘highlight the highlights’ with a range of great themed events, designed to hold special appeal for you. We have exotically themed nights with authentically flavoured dishes featuring Chinese, Mexican, Greek and Indian cuisine in addition to, from ‘across the pond,’ American burger nights... and nearer home, speciality nights featuring corned beef hash, chicken in the basket and good old pie and chips!

SUMMER IS HERE
We have been enjoying the sunshine over the past few weeks and are making the most of you wanting to relax in our beer garden. All of the summer plants have now been planted and we look forward to welcoming you to relax in our tranquil setting over looking the alma weir. We only serve food for 12 -2 and 6-9 however we have introduced some cheese boards, pate & olive platters which are available all day every day.
BRAND NEW KITCHEN
We have invested heavily in the kitchen this year expanding it in size and buying some new equipment. We have also re fitted the bar to make the great products we sell to you more visible. This investment will in turn offer you a nicer surrounding and a higher level of service. It also means we can have stronger educational links with more students being able to experience a taste of the catering industry here at The Water Rat
OUTSIDE CATERING
Our brand new kitchen also means that we can cater for more outside events and larger functions so if you have a 'do' in mind then drop us a line.
